c. 1930s Vtg MCM Sikes Solid Hardwood Metal Industial Ergonomic Banker Chair

Measures roughly 34” tall. Excellent structural, functional, and aesthetic condition, with age-appropriate cosmetic wear, and a nice patina. At one point many years ago, I was tempted to refinish it with a new paintjob, but I’m glad I didn’t. I assume the current muted green/grey is the original factory finish. The chair is built like a tank, and quite heavy and sturdy. It’s surprisingly very comfortable, given its multiple heavy duty springs, adjustment mechanisms, and ergonomically-satisfying articulation points. It’s a beautiful piece for functionally filling a void in a vintage industrial-rustic style. Sold as pictured.
