The Common Sense Universe is like a 21st century equivalent of Newton's Principia. It uses the logic and common sense of classical ideas to reveal the universe's secrets from its smallest sub-atomic particles to its large scale structure. Apparently complex topics like quantum mechanics, nuclear and particle physics, Einstein's relativity, gravity, galaxy structures and more all function through simple classical principles, Those topics were made unnecessarily complex because their practitioners did not know the logical physics that underpins them. The Common Sense Universe uses three space dimensions and time as well as known physics principles and constants. It describes the physical principles involved and uses the simplest maths needed to determine the magnitude of the effect. Some of the maths is high school matriculation level. Very little is more than mid-undergraduate university level. They are all that are needed to understand the complexities of the universe. That is achieved without losing technical accuracy. As an example, Einstein's gravity is a minor modification of Newton's gravity. Einstein used such complex maths that he could only get an approximate solution. Understanding the physics allows simple maths to get an exact solution. It also allows the physical origins of gravity to be derived from properties of nucleons - quantum gravity. It derives a single equation that gives Newton's gravity as a first approximation and Einstein's gravity as a second approximation. The exact solution answers a myriad of questions that currently perplex cosmologists. Einstein's special relativity corrections are not much more complex than Pythagoras' theorem. One extra correction is derived. It makes a world of difference in understanding the quantum world. It does the same with aspects of sub-topic particle physics and quantum mechanics. Particle properties such as mass, dimensions, spin, electric charge, magnetic moment are properties of each particles structure. Electron tunneling has a simple classical explanation. The physical origins of a particle's de Broglie wave uses principles outlined decades ago. From then on electron diffraction and interference obey classical wave effects. Quantized electron binding energies have simple classical origins.Elementary particle physics is an exercise in Einstein's special relativity corrections and knowledge of the structure of protons and neutrons.Nuclear physics is made very easy when the structure of protons and neutrons are known. It becomes relatively easy to work out the structure and some properties of any nucleus of any Z and A. Nucleons can only fit together in a simple grid pattern. It answers many questions such as the origins of the strong nuclear force and why it has such a limited range; the nuclear skin effect; how 235U fissions why the C nucleus is an equilateral triangle shape, and many more.Element abundances in the sun are derived. Fusion is a very different process from that which is currently theorized. Anyone wishing to work in fusion needs to know the process involved.Knowing gravity makes it much easier to understand galaxies. Kepler's laws do not apply to stars rotating about a galaxy centre. Their rotation is as expected, no dark matter needed. Many other unknowns are answered.Exact solutions to Einstein's gravity show it gets weaker than inverse square as mass increases. Gravity weaker than inverse square means an infinite steady state universe won't collapse. The universe isn't even expanding, let alone expanding at an increasing rate. Many other unknowns are answered. The Common Sense Universe is not standard model. It just gives a better fit with experiment and observation. It is also much easier to understand! Be one of the first in your field to expand it! Read more
